Ever wonder what makes the difference between a song that becomes a smash hit and a song that never makes it past being a demo? In August of 2010, we started asking that same question and decided we’d take the time to figure it out. Ever since then, we have met each week to break down the top charting songs in multiple genres and identify those elements that set them apart. We have had over 200 songwriters join us in our classes, including some that have written #1 hits, and now have over 550 songwriters on our mailing list.

It is no secret what makes a song great. It just takes time and understanding of the critical elements that make them that way. In today’s competitive music world, a good song has a hard time finding a comfortable home. A great song can change the world! (including yours)
